A pleasant, unexpected surprise for my birthday weekend was watching the new Barbie movie. I definitely channeled my inner Barbie girl.

As I watched the movie (and I wonβt give away any spoilers), I was shocked to be moved as much as I was. In addition to the nostalgia I felt, I had a few really great conversations about business and ownership.
Hereβs the thing: ownership mattersβ¦a lot.
And I know that some of you are reading this and thinking, βOf course it does, Captain Obvious. But I wonder if you are considering this: ownership is not a matter of emotion, but a matter of law.
I love to tell my clients, thereβs the way you think things work, and the way things actually work. My job is to help you align the two.
Having a domain address with a name, doesnβt necessarily mean you own it.
Forming an LLC with a name, doesnβt necessarily mean that you own it.
Using a name as a social media handle, doesnβt necessarily mean you own it.
To own it, you have to follow the rules outlined by law and those can be confusing.
Iβve put out quite a few YouTube videos on this topic, but I know that there are always more questions. So on Tuesday, August 1st, letβs get together with a special Ask Temi Live! Live Q&A Session.
Specifically, Iβm hoping that: we can:
Connect as a Community. I want to know who the people are who watch my videos on YouTube and have subscribed to this list.
Answer Live Questions. I plan on answering questions that you have about starting your business, trademarks, LLCs, DBAs, etcβ¦Letβs get some clarity
Move Closer to our Goals. I want to hear what you are working on so that we can cheer each other on.
Letβs chat and talk about what ownership really is so that you can own what you create.
Until next time,

P.S. Whoβs your business bestie? Donβt keep this a secret from them. Tell them to register too! :)
